I can't find the information that I'm looking for and hope I have put this topic in the right place. I need some advice please.
I have a 1.25 acre lake that I want to clean out but I haven't got enough land to dump the spoil on. It was cleaned out circa 25 years ago but has accumulated quite a lot of silt in it since then. I might be able to ask a local farmer to take the spoil and spread it and then when dry ( 1-2 years ?) it could be levelled and incorporated. Can anyone tell me what that would be worth and what I should expect to pay if I can't find anyone to take it and it has to be carted away ? I have no idea as to how much we will get out of the lake so any muck-away prices would have to be by the load. Do I have to get involved with a waste licence ?
Thanks to anyone who can offer any advice.

Re: Muck-away.
on another forum this has been discussed and your best bet might be to put the spoil in a muck spreader and spread on a field, plough in and reseed.

Muck-away.
Hmm, I have similar issues here, though I have more ideas on what to do with the spoil (and more land to use it on) - my concern is more over the machine needed to do the dredging, as the lake is somewhat larger!
