Whole purpose of latest trip was to inspect half a dozen 777D's.
Few pictures of the trucks for the album.

Well there's only so many pictures of a 777 you can show, so here's the last few......
Ever wandered how fast a 777 will go? first picture will tell you, this was taken off the "tattle tale" (not me going that fast and then taking a picture before anyone recoils in horror!) which records all the maximum and minum of the gauges and any warning lights etc that have been flashing, a pic of the cab (not bad for 10,000 hours), a water truck damping down the site a bit and a D10 next to a Komatsu D375.
Enjoy

All hands to the deck here, as well as the 3 B's we have in the shop, first of the yankee trucks turned up today, another 2 are on the way up from Southampton on the back of Cadzow wagons....
An eventful road trip for these 6 trucks, first off all the trucks were delayed by the bad weather the USA experienced, that made us miss the first ship.
Next we had the skips of all of the trucks, got 3 chassis on the dock side in Carlestone South Carolina, 3 skips in middle of Georgia when they decided to close the interstate for repairs...
This ment a 900 odd mile detour through Tenessee and North Carolina, this made us miss the second ship....
Eventualy though they arrived in sunny Southampton (could have done with mr Drew going to give them a quick eyeball!)
Shouldn't be much to do to these D's, quick check over, full service including changing all the oils, re-doing all the engine settings, fettle the cabs up, fit all the necassary health and saftey jobs such as Fit cameras. fit additional mirrors, fit a fire supression system and fit an auto lube system.......
Was a bit of a tight squeeze getting her in the shop, had to drop the suspension right down and take the door up past the stops and she was still a bit high, so resorted to letting a bit of air out the tyres and in she squeezed, nothing an industrial size pot of vaseline couldn't fix!
