Taken tonight, full moon and clear sky, going to be a cold one, this 777F just been put on low loader and on its way up to Troon.
Will be posting more of these as there are 8 777Fs and 2 992Gs on there way up there.
Front wheels are removed to get the truck height down, can be moved with the rear outer wheels on, but we have a narrow path to get down in Troon.
Walkways off and skip rock deflectors off, even then this truck is right on the limits of size to be moved in one lump.

Nice pics
Ive seen a few 777s on lowloaders but this is the first without the front wheels.
Transporting 785 and 789s are another kettle of fish. Have to cut the skips in half

Ross,
These are right on the border line for having to be cut before being moved, i remember wimpey removing skips from 785s and moving them in one peice but the trucks had the final drives removed to get them under size, UK Coal are moving 789s this weekend, wish i could have got to see them moving.
Jack,
What machines do you want to see??

Hello Stuart
One thing I have noticed with these truck is that the wheel studs look very close to the edge
of the hubs when you see the size of the wheel plus the weight they carry.Do you get any problems with this setup?

Hello there Martyn,
We have had no problems with the wheel stud positioning, these later trucks, the hubs are a cast peice.
As fast as we are getting them out the door and create a bit of room in the yard, new ones are arriving, new chassis ready for assembly rolled in today, just like a big Lego set. Can get these trucks assembled in just over a week. skips take a wee while longer.

Hello Stuart
I have noticed on my visits to my local Finning branch they seem very busy with new machines.Looks like with a resurgence in the coal and stone industry that Finning are doing well.Did you see my post and picture of the 992 taken at Llantrisant,I was told that there was a misshap in transporting it to Africa.
Cheers

More great pictures Stuart. My Dad said he saw a large CAT dumper going down Avon road the other day where he is working.

Great pictures Stuart, keep em coming !
What would the shipping weight of the 777 be as in your photo ?
The lowloader looks a bit special !
John.
