Tarmac have 2 new 775F Cat dumptrucks at Bayston Hill. They replace 2 other 775F`s with 4000 hrs that have been sold to Spain, all from Walters.
Anyway, after a week away i went back yesterday to find the 775`s parked up with the rear wheels off,& 3 Cat 740`s doing the hauling. Now this is what the quarry have told me,but another British firm had the rear wheels fall off on some new 775F`s.After some work by Finnings it apeared that there was a fault with the rear stub axle?causing it to fail. After finding the problem & making some upgrades, they were put back to work.Untill the problem arose again. So in the meantime, all new model 775F`s have been taken off the road untill the fault can be identified.
Finnings have suppied 3 740`s to Tarmac free of charge,& an extra driver from Walters to drive the 3rd 740.I will try to get some pics this week of the 775`s.
Has anyone else heard about this,or knows anything??
New 775F problems??
