Faun K24.2

Post #1 by Hammer man » Fri Aug 21, 2009 9:44 pm

Heres a few pics of Wainwrights 1978 Faun K24.2,24 ton dumptruck.Powered by a Mega-Deutz air cooled V8.Been sitting in this spot for a few years now.Looks to be in solid shape.Nothing a good steam clean & re-paint would`nt sort out.Not sure about the running gear though. :)

Its such a shame when you find old gems like this sitting and just rusting away! People really need to start looking hard for these old machines and restoring them! I know i would if i could afford it!

Pic of a Faun Rigid, ECLP china clay works at Lee moor in the early 80's. Don't know the model :?: , What i can remember from the lads that drove them that these are the two wheel drive versions but they also had a four wheel drive version of this truck on demo which apparently would go any where :wtf: .
