Post #1 by Hammer man » Thu Jul 09, 2009 7:31 pm

Heres a few pics of the 2 775F`s at Bayston Hill Quarry.Supplied by Walters, driven by Tarmac drivers. The lorry in between is a 17T Merc fuel tanker.I`m working next to the haul road at the mo so will try & get a video of it climbing the road beside me,V12 singing away
Anyone feel free to add more pics to this thread.I will as & when :)

From what the drivers say, they are impressed. The cab is the best point they say.I must say, after getting a lift in them a few times(& a 771D) that the cab is greatly improved over the D/E`s.Large,excellent visability, particuly with the low front windscreen, better access, better noise levels.Relibility is as good as always.
Where i`m going next, they have 2 771D`s,& a 770(center cab). They rate the 770 as well, although its not as quick as the 771 with V8 engine, but only on the climbs. On the flat its fine. You can see the difference in speed when they are lugging up out of the pit.The 6 cyl 770 is a bit slower. But again, the cab is excellent, the same as the Cat adt`s.Will post some pics of then when i get there. :)

Video of the 775F in action. If the quarry did`nt have a few steep climbs they put a few extra bucket fulls on.I must say, compared to the 771D`s in most the quarrys i go to,up close, this dose`nt sound like it has a V engine in it.Most of the times it sounds more like a straight 6.
On another note, not that you would see,the driver Bob looks like the double of "Sinbad"from Brookside, for those who remember him
