I recall some CAT dumptrucks from Stobswood were sold second hand to a customer in the USA and shipped out from Newcastle.

they were sold to a cat dealer in the us, they were stripped on site and shipped from blyth docks, each truck was to under go a full strip down and rebuild program to extend the life of the trucks, im not sure if they were sold on wards to the north american coal company who also is the proud owner of the ace of spades, stobswood has around 2 year back filling in total.

Just looked at Uk Coals website and says it will be back by end of 09

Coaling at North Stobswood Revised is expected to be completed by the end of 2008 and both sites will be fully restored by the end of 2009.
