Ah the TR100's arent bad TBH, After they sorted the Axle cracking issue's.
I've seen them broken in half and Missing ride leg's etc, but I've seen plenty of CAT truck Broke at the side of the haul road's.

Re: Terex TR100's
Last time i was at the Chevington OCCS in Northumberland they had a couple of TR100's working alongside 777's of various ages. I think the TR100's were previously working at Catcliffe of Shildon OCCS and have not aged as well as the cat counterparts!
The TR100's were hauling rock under the main road and up the other side, which was a fair trip! The 777's always caught up on the haul up to the tip!
At least Terex have gone down the route of styling the machines themselves unlike a well known japanese brand!
Always like to see photos of opencast equipment!

Re: Terex TR100's
there is 6 ' white elephants ' on site at the minute and 2 more to come, no one wants to drive them they are noisy uncomfortable and a poor ride on the 20 minute haul, not a patch on the 777's, in the wet they carry a bucket less because they have no traction...

Here are a couple of pics of D37 I took on Symon site in Telford back in 1991 I think it was. Compared with the pics above, there is still much similarity 18 years later!
