The kit Tarmac National Contracting have is a dead-weight roller painted white which is a Hamm, the smaller ride-on roller is a Bomag and the asphalt paver is a Dynapac machine.

Interesting machines that are not photograped very often. I have worked on Blawknox, Barber Greens, tar sprayers and various types of rollers. We had a couple of bowmags when I worked on the plant.I remember we used to get problems with the electrics as when on vibrate, they used to shake the machine to bits. The worst rollers were Atkinsons, which took over Greens. They kept us very busy on the service van :dizzy:
Thanks for posting.

 Tidy collection of surfacing kit there Jack.
They dont leave it parked up as often these days, Last crew I had on a job took it away every night ( some of it went onto the night shift on the M1) . Think RMC were trying to get the untilisation factor up on men and machine as were double shifting both on different jobs. :insomnia:

Hi Steve you might be thinking of pat mc caulife he drives o`hara`s low loader in ringways colours.yea i know norman and danny ,i think danny has retired now we used to move a lot of plant in wesminster mostly sat and sun and back for mon.they were good men allways left the plant in a good place for loading.peter gould drives another lowloader that is owned by ringway from slade green yard,i hate slade green to far away from the city ,ringway has a yard in enfield as well not to bad for us .there was a terry who drove for beach then when ringway bought beach he was driving for ringway ,but he has gone now ,
