are they still going worked for them opencast south wales

I recall visiting their yard just outside Devizes several years ago,it had all been cleared.

I worked with them on the Northleach road out of Cirencester in around 1973, I was on hire there on a digger. Met the father and son, they were nice people.

C & P have finished, the yard is now used by Reids involved in soil stabilizing and plant hire repairs etc I live just by it.

great pics of the old 8 and box. think c&p use to run about a dozen of them in there hey day . the company I work for (REEDS construction & engineering) moved into the old c&p yard about 10 years ago,so were keeping the theme of the yard going so to speak,and we have the old c&p plant manager clive guzzy baker just living around the corner of the yard so hes keeping an eye on it. also bumped into eric chivers just before xmas and he looks well.
