Not sure where these were took but think it might be Darlington area late 1950's early 60's.

I put it down too the fact that it was not so long after the second world war and that national service didn't stop enlisting till 1960 I think so I imagine their where a lot of beret's around and men used to wearing them too. I know at the start of my working life (1970) most dinner bags where ex army bags, I think if I remember right they where mostly the bags for carrying a gas mask in. I used one myself into the 80's.
