Hi Merv, noticed the Lagan dozers. On your travels did you get to Guernsey airport? :?:

They seem a much bigger outfit than you'd think. I dont know if its all marketing b*llsh*t but the company looks impressive with some high profile work. But you never know.......as they say "all that glitters is not always gold!"

Clive,Lagans have a full order book,100 million a8 project which im on,200 million road job starting soon in Galway and the 400 million M8 job in Glasgow starting next year,They have just installed a trimble gps system in my D6 as a trial to see how we get on with it,uesful to have the electronic drawings in front of u for reference points so im now a mobile engineer as well, lol the d6t now has 345 hours on the clock and has been faultless as you would expect and a great machine and i think it is the best tractor ive been on.In the 345 hours ive travelled 1020 kms according to the computer, heres a few pics of the new gear minus 1 of the 3 new 329e s.The d6 is also economical compared to the older ones

Thats great, nice to see you mounted up and happy. I guess you need to take your suitcase to the interview 'cos you never know where you're going to get posted! Bit like being in the forces

The 6T is certainly some tool  and the GPS is mighty handy but my arguement is that the new drivers cant drive because they dont need to trim up and get skillfull! (present company excluded  )

As for the dumptrucks, althought the paint job gives instant identity and branding I'm not so keen :( sorry Joe ;)

Good luck Merv

Hey each to their own mate! I have to say I do always prefer my machines in manufacturer colours but I do think this colour scheme looks great!

Well the colour is certainly different Joe,ok now but when it starts to flake of it will look tatty,no powerhosing these yokes,
Clive the problem with the gps is that the trainer boyo was telling me to work using the light bars to get down near to what your finished level is b4 your final trim in auto but to me that means ur concentration is removed from what you should be looking at eg blade to looking at the dash of the machine so your not correcting by what you can see but by what the lights tell you so a newbie is never goin to learn anything.the lights were frying my brain and distracting me so i dimmed them down to 0 so that i could not c them and work without them most of the time.It makes your life a bit easier tho especialy if your under pressure
