Oh yeah I don't mind the 11T's. These are better than the Field follow we use to chase around the pit!
They will be replaced with two new ones this summer. I told them to buy all D10T's. Best tractor by a country mile.

Re: Cat D11
I don't work in the industry so don't see them on a regular basis unfortunately.
Its a bit of a drive so don't want to just turn up with my camera on the off-chance and be turned back by security. Anyone have a contact at Finning so that I can arrange a proper visit?
Thanks.

D10T,s have not been without there dramas too Ross, they were garbage when they came out, M series on tracks almost. I had RJG00138 & 9, the first to go to work in Australia and they gave a lot of grief.
42000hrs on them now.
The 11T,s will get sorted just like the D10,s did.
I agree with you they are a good thing now but the most recent s/n i have seen is in the 4000 range so having a decent population out there helps iron out the bugs

Re: Cat D11
Yeah Your right Gav as always (I don't know anybody who knows Cat tractors better)
The first D10T's had the Silly after cooler in the hood + fan. They also suffered from fire damage allot.
The D11T's mmmm the first one at the river never caused this much trouble. No worried from the C32 (Solid motor)
Now I've driven past 11T's and chuckled how I've never stepped foot on it but, theres one here that's a dog. Thats hard for me to admit as av backed there corner many a time.
Maybe it was built in a Monday / Friday?
