D6R LGP III with a stairway to heaven......

Post #1 by SRB » Thu Apr 10, 2008 10:58 am

D6RLGP III rolling out the yard today, looks normal on one side till you get round t'other....
Stairway to the cab! Save's clambering over the tracks and getting your boots mucky, not sure how it will stand up to a couple of knocks though.....

Hard to see it lasting very long (The stairway that is) as you say, Stuart. Is that a factory fitted item ?

Hiya Nick, It was an Oz firm originally, but these were made by a crowd called Plant Access Design. Quite a smart and tidy set up.

On reflection, I thought no one could imagine those stairs would last too long, so inspected the pictures again more closely, and it looks like the erstwhile operator, or 'Knight of the Rubbish Tip' climbs the stairs onto his trusty steed, and then pulls up the 'drawbridge' after him.
Is that how it works Stuart ?

Something like that i think John!

The new D11T has a similar system as an option from the factory now..

This working at height thing is going to be a crippler i think........
