It's nice to see a dozer pushing soft stuff .. Always nice to see the material curl over the blade like a wave .. 8-)

I see two trucks approching and one leaving full, Was there a shovel there?

I've got some video of the machines on the harder stuff below. When time permits I'll post them on youtube. In all fairness they rarely seem to struggle even with the rock. Availability is running at 99% on the backhoes and 98% on the faceshovels which Scottish Coal and Liebherr are very impressed with.

This may sound like a daft question but how does the bucket actually open on a shovel? Ive just watched that video twice and can see no obvious cylinders.....and my tired brain cant figure out where they would be haha

Thats great but they dont really have many hours on them yet?

Also, What real % are they running? Max without any downtime would be 92% or so including Planned downtime for PM's .. That would be on a 24/7 factor of utilisation. Do they run 24/7?

I know Banks had near 100% against Utilisation on a few 785's, No mining permitted on the weekends and no night shift so all planned work was done then.

On the 120's they have 2 cylinders in the main bucket back, The visor is pinned to the bucket and also pinned to them cylinders .. Should always take the covers off .. The crap gets in and bends the rams ..

Same set up like on a 4 in 1 found on a 428 or a 953 CAT
