Thanks for those great pictures Nick. There are lots of us out here who enjoy looking at D9s and 657s while munching through our cornflakes, reminding us of the good old days or proper earthmoving.

Both the D8H and the D9 are a bit tarted up, the track frame covers look a bit glued down plus their is umpteen bullet holes and dints about them, the oil fired Mae West is a bit freaky to see, the last 1 of those beasts I came across would have been well over 20 yrs ago, perhapse someone managed to sort out the gremlins with more modern hydraulic components, good undercart though and they both sit on the floor well with their head up.

not sure what has happened to my pics :dizzy:
The nice painted d8 with the winch is on sigma's listing.has been for a few years and I suspect it's gone.
The tidy one with the ripper that's been out working is currently for sale on an m.o.d surplus site near Rochdale.
the ugly duckling with the new wide tracks and partially stripped down status has a 3 shank ripper and looks abit of a dog. It's been for sale on the messia web and is all painted up.wide tracks and rippers on d8's don't do it for me.
