Got a D8 out for the lowloader.
Checked all fluids including final drives.
Changed a top roller and gave it a grease.
I tend to only grease the fan pulleys every 250 hours as people like to over grease them.I told the last driver not to touch them as I would do it myself.
He didn't listen and I have a broken grease nipple to replace.It's a bugger to get at.

Some pics I took last Monday taking the paint off the D8R.
Deep shank ripping here in a pattern of 4 grids.
Each rip is at about 300mm intervals then it gets pushed from the rear of the dig to fold it over and crush it up.
They want quality of spoil here as opposed to quantity.
It's quite soft to rip and is a steady bottom gear job allthough it's abrasive and will wear tips and grousers quickly.We leave a layer of ripped material on the dig for traction during the next rip.
Polishing it off would just result in worn cutting edges and a rough ride.
