The girls are all back at base now for winter.
May have work for 2 boxes next year.
Something allways turns up if I go looking.

Not much been happening with the dozers since late October apart from the little D5H doing a couple of days and some nightshift work.
Cat D6C 83A 475 circa 1966.Still working in Greece I believe.

D8H 68A 2236 .This had a 77V spacer motor in it.
This tractor was a real animal with a lovely grunt to it.
Broke for spares 1996.
The scrapers were peachy and got flogged to North Carolina after I finished with them

I like scrapers Jeremy in short bursts.
The Terex TS24'S and TS14'S that I allways drove were Detroit powered and allthough I loved the racket ,they could drone into your brain after a couple of hours.The heat on your right knee would burn against the engine cowling,not to mention the rough ride.
Cat scrapers were allways a better ride and the ability to send a plume of black smoke into the air never bored me!!!

Yes I would not contest that the racket of the two strokes would sound lovely but not if you'd got a hangover from the night before :lol: love a bit of black smoke too it makes you feel like a machine is working hard when you see that! :thumbup:
