The D8 on the low boy has developed a noisy pinion. The screens and filters in the tranny and finals are all clean so I shipped it down to TC's as it will require expert attention.there is nowt I can do to help it.
He has pulled it all to bits and found no damage other than the steering brakes and drums worn out.I don't mind this as it hasn't been done so no backward steps.Something is defenitately not quiet right in the crownwheel and pinion department.I await the doctors report.
The tractor is sorely missed at the moment and the other D8 has had to have the blade refitted to take over although it's needed on the box.You can't do everything.... :D
The new D6K is an acquired taste and has taken abit of getting used to with the funny transmission and the buck in the system one tracks, however,I am starting to make it dance.Don't want to buy it though.Fancy another D8 in spring.
The trucks are a mixture ovf Volvo A25 and Cat 725 and 730's.The older Volvo walks rings around the Cats which are proving troublesome with Finnings in regular attendance to iron out niggles. The Cat 730 has spat injectors out at 1500 hrs.Not good

I'd love to tell you about my D6.......but its not mine! The box was on hire to the chap as his has suffered a little metal fatigue! (Its wore out!)
The 70 is back in the yard and up for sale as I have n't the tractor for it. I need another low loader trailer so there are a few more bits to clear out. £3500 plus VAT if you want it, new spare ropes, new cutting edges, matching good tyres, all the covers and guards on it, just needs a good wash down. :D

Failing that I might have to buy a tractor for it!!!!!

seems a fair price mate.I have seen it and it's nice.
I have just bought another 435G scraper as abit of back up but it's unlikely I will use two at the same time.I just can't be arsed.Saw a rare 435F yesterday at Tony's head quarters. It needs tlc but would look good behind his D8K.
I went down to see my D8 in bits. It's not half as bad as TC says, but he does strive for absolute perfection :D I have seen the work he and his team do on those Charles Russell Scania and Nootebooms. It's breathtaking and i'm not joking.
You would love the pile of rusting 1990's 142 Scanias not to mention the stunning 1971 141 that is straight out of the showroom.
