Re: Chepstow Plant Dozers #2
Thanks lads. I took these at the Sibelco Minerals East Golds works tipping area, and belive me this stuff was a nightmare to level. Alot of the material was from the Bi-Vac, which is the waste powder clay and the other was Lignite which is a form of Coal. Tipping area is about 120m square. I cleaned pre cleaner bowl twice in a 10hr shift .

Re: Chepstow Plant Dozers #3
Yea it was a nightmare ,Every time the wind blew the dust just covered everything. Thanks to Air Con i wasn't . The last pics are of a Komatsu D85EX and a 2010 model Caterpillar D6T LGP . The Cat is working out the back of my dads farm which is on a Imerys ( Old ECC International) China Clay site at Lee moor. The 6T has Cat's System 1 under carriage where the front and rear idlers run inside the track chain instead of the chain running on the shoulders of the idler, this is to reduce wear as Chepstow had a D8T with it also.
