cheffins sale ely

i took some truck engines to a sale at ely a few months ago and snapped these little gems

hello lars that is a D4D and it has been doing the rounds in and out of dealers yards for a few years ,
it was parked next to my D4c when i brought it from a dealer in somerset

Thanks Graham! It is difficult se the difference between these Caterpillars. A guy where I lived as a child had a Cat DC6 I beleive. My father carry it on a 6 wheeler so I think it not could be a DC7 rather a DC6.

Or got a new paint only. I beleive if it is restored it is a entuasist and they use to have it for its own.

Not a real bad paint job on that D4D dozer. Pity they didnt put a little more effort into it and remove some of the rough edges before they hit it with the spray gun.

Some of the others look in need of a little TLC.
