Here are some pictures of the 1st of 3 x D11R'S we are currently doing major repairs on at our Mt K workshop.
Besides the usual stuff we are also doing major modifications to strengthen the trackframes.
This is a big job which includes stripping the frames completely, removing the bottom plates and rewelding the internal cannon supports. There are also a number of welds that are gouged out and redone as well as the installation of several plates and a saddle onto the top and sides of the frame.
Each dozer will get a full linebore of all the blade and ripper joints to keep them nice and tight, cylinder reseals, minor component overhauls and major component change-outs as required.
I'll throw in a few photos of different stages of the job. If anyone wants to see more, drop me a line and I'll add extras.
We are still completing some 651E rebuilds and have almost completed a full birthday on our PC1250-7 (refer to the other posts).
The D11R's are giving our boys a bit of variety.
Cheers from Australia.

Hi Gary,
That's serious work you've got there. I'm curious as to why you are strengthening the track frames are conditions on your site especially difficult ?
Great pictures, I'd love to see more as the work progresses.

Re: D11R repairs "Down under"
Hi John, the track frames mods are actually part of a service update from Cat.
All the frames we have opened up so far have been cracked internally. I have attached pictures of the modified frames and you will see how much work is involved externally. The internal repair is just as major.
I will update this post as we progress through the repairs. Thanks for your comments.
