Stripping overburden in NZ.

Post #1 by dozeron » Wed Jul 25, 2007 8:10 am

Hi All,
Thought I would put this up for you. Nice Cat D8K?? But in the background is a Terex TS-32 about to be either push-loaded, but it appears to be well and truely loaded already, or\\so it may well be bogged down. In the 1970s a company in NZ brought in about 6 second-hand 32s for a stripping job. They proved not to be a real success as they were too heavy for the country and the haul roads!! All scrapped now as far as I know. In the photo I think it shows a Cat D9G & a Terex 82-50 about to give it one up the rear!!
Cheers, Dozeron.

Nice picture. I think it is a brand new D9H about to get its blade dirty for the first or second time rather than a D8K.
