Hi Yellow Iron.Interesting thread.
Use a deco 50MT,not a 40MT if you're not changing the ring gear . I've used both set ups.
My Modulo erops is a trick of the eye.Its a Swedish Otterson cab.Very good but not modular.I just couldn't be arsed faffing about with one.If I ever buy a mod cab,it will be attached to a K

On another note Yellow iron, I have blagged my way through the rops cab debate on D8's with the sloping Westlode style cab. They simply don't draw the attention that the henhouse cabs do.They are much sleeker and simple to fit on and off.For what bit they cost, you could have one of your D8's geared up in a couple of hours.I think D7 Clive has one in his yard

Hi Nicky, Your explanation has helped because I didn't realise that this pic below of yours is not a genuine erops from Cat, couldn't work out how you managed to cut the front out to go over the original 68A dash!

Using that type of looky likey cab is what I sggested before. I gave one away just a year ago but I don't think the bloke has ever fitted it, brackets and all! Do you want me to ask him if he still plans on using it?!

Top picture David. Peter was a a great friend to me over the years and is still sadly missed, but good to see him again doing what he loved most.
