Modular Cabs are fully interchangeable between D9H, D8K and D7G, no problems, however to retro fit to an earlier model, ie D8H is a different story and will require major modification. The dash in the cab tilts with the cab as does the floor, seat etc, much easier to fit up an earlier non modular ROPS to the older tractors, then it becomes a pain to o/hual transmission etc.

Klippan rops would be an easy fit .Roly Billings has one on a 22a. My 8k has one fitted from new. The floor and dash are just as your tractors are layed out. I would like to give my 22a a facelift with a westlode soft cab as fitted to some early 8ks if I could find one.Miine has the steel roof and is like sitting in a biscuit tin .Good luck with the project.

John. Ask Clive Big Kit for the Westlode cab.
Did you get the K suckling oil instead of air yet mate?

Nicky ,Yes I think I got it all sorted.New hose new pump new oil and new seals top to bottom! But I still never stopped it weeping just a bit from the bottom fitting to the trans casing so I gave up after abought 3 attempts .The tractor was not giving trouble before so hopefully it will be OK. Only thing I have not done is check the pressure but it stalls out in all speeds OK. Also put a new horse shoe spring in the injector pump to try and make it run a bit smoother. It seems to have got rid of an annoying flutter that made it sound rubish. Only problem has been no work for it! The ironie is we have had the dryest spell of weather I can remember for a long time and relletivly low fuel prices.Have been busy with the excavators though. How are your tractors doing? Clive big kit if you pick up the thread I would be interested in the cab if it is still around.Cheers Ump

Hi Jon, I'm following this thread with interest :D . Ill give the guy a ring tomorrow who took the cab. I don't think he has ever used it.

I'm loving the cab saga, its a hard call, romanticising about the past but looking to the future. I don't regret putting the modular on the 7 at all. It was expensive, bloody awkward, rewarding and it got me the tractor I always wanted. :D Then I sold it!!!! :dizzy: Shocks, when I make a million I'll buy another! :D ;) (And my wife will be out with a straight jacket  )

It's all good fun! Hats off to you Clive for achieving it and to Yellowiron for tackling it x 3 or 4 perhaps. There is always another tractor to replace the D7G.Have you seen the one at K J Services ? Or is it your old tractor ? As for the westlode cab ,that would be great if you could follow it up.Cheers Ump

I've had a look, not my tractor, apparently mine went to Ghana about 18 months ago. Almost the same but my undercart was better looking though in general that one has a few more bits and pieces on it. My serial no was 8370 that one is 12000 something and about 6 years younger. PS mine had a winch on to.

:( I rang Gary Jolliffe today but he wants to keep the cab and still intends to put it on. Sorry folks that's not going to be available but I'll keep looking.
