D6R lgp

Post #1 by Jon Umpleby » Tue Feb 03, 2015 10:52 pm

Hi all ,just bought a D6R lgp 8TM series. The front idlers are out nearly 6" .Looking in the book it says its time to do something about it. I am thinking of taking a link out of the chains but l would like to get one little job out of it first to make sure everything else is OK. Does anyone know if its safe to run it that far out on the idler? The chains are at 40% or so which makes me surprised it is at this stage of adjustment.Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Jon I would think that Tony Coates may be the best person to advise you on this one.

Its on standard salt chains with 30" pads instead of 36".
