Goodo Bertus, would you know thermal operating temperature for thos engines in F or C, I get paranoid about overheating engines, I'm fitting a Murphy temp gauge (give an audible alert when it reaches it's set temp) after Easter.

Hello Nick , here is a pic of a 561 side boom dash (partially visible) .
Many of these machines have crossed our country in the early sixties . I have many more pics of 561 and 561B , if you are interested I can send them .

Hello Nick , here are some more pics of that 561 . There is even one with a blade . I have seen many side booms , but this is the only one with a blade . When I look at the blade well , I think it is only for loose material , such as backfilling the trench .

thanks Dajocat, aren't they amazing machines, they certainly did the job for you fellas over there, I was watching a dodo on the dykes and land reclamation in the Netherlands, totally amazing.

Hi Dajocat, yep I agree, it looks like it's not meant for pushing heavy material, in that it doesn't seem to swing.
Nice looking pipe laying setup eh.
