I have these good, bound photocopied manuals,for sale:
1.ROADLESS Instruction/Parts book for DG equipment.
2.FORDSON MAJOR COUNTY Full-Track Parts List.
3.FORDSON MAJOR COUNTY Full-Track Instruction book.
4.FORDSON MAJOR Repair book.

I owned a CD50 & an E27N crawler several years ago,& bought these books for reference. Never used them,as I sold machines .

Photo shows a Vickers Vigor at S E Davies, a fleet of these machines were used to construct the M1.The have a good turn of speed but I think they had transmission problems that were never realy overcome, so the more popular Caterpillar machines dominated the road building plant. The Vigor's looked very striking in their blue livery.Glad that some working examples have been saved for us all to see.

i can remember fitting head gasket on vickers dozer on m18 m1 junction with ian schofield [pink top] 1965/66 at dowsett

Hi does anyone have a manual for a VR180 vickers crawler , I have one running and another to restore and would love to find a manual that i can buy to help me with questions I have , ie adjusting hydraulics over manual adjustments of steering clutches etc , removing wtaer pumps , etc , also any literature would be good to have

Diggerdozer, your tracks are still on backwards on the yellow beast? turn em' around as it freaks me out some ;) ;) :)
