I've had the same problem in the wet with the roller. Conveyor belting isn't that good as it tends to get flirted out, the sure fire answer is sheets of cheap plywood laid down on the ramps.
It does amaze be that (in this video) the 'professionals' seem to be ill-equipped and willing to risk damage. A scrap or two of wood and an old tyre or two smacks of Fred Karno's circus in my book! You can almost hear the H&S man 'tut-tutting' in the background and writing on his clipboard....

I was givern some plastic track mats that seems to work well. I was loading up the BTD6 the other week onto a beavertail we hooked up the winch for safety as it was raining on a very slippery and muddy ramp..The transport had metal plates in the nasty positions for crawlers start ot the skids and to top of the ramp at its steepest point.Tyres are ok, but on machines with deep grousers the tyre tends to ride up and over.
