Re: hitachi dozer
Hi, Folks.
I only ever saw the Hitachi TO7's and TO9's - - - - - and I saw more of them parked than I saw working. They were one of the worst dozers that God ever let anybody pump fuel into.
Funny thing is, after that MONUMENTAL failure in the mid-late 1960's, Hitachi's next offering was its excavators - - - - which have been leaders in their field from day one.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

Re: hitachi dozer
In Australia,A.V Page Ltd ,were the distributors of Hitachi construction gear in the 60s.
I have an advert of a medium sized Hitachi Crawler loader somewhere in my files, with the Page logo on it.
The modern Hitachi DX40 & others are a well made machine, but parts are expensive & not easily found.Typical of machines not really intended for sale outside of Asia.
Picture shows a T 12 in Japan,becoming a garden feature!
