Believe they were based on the Thwaites 30 cwt. 'Tusker' model with a Petter engine (or optional Lister)

fantastic machine i would say will out dig a mini digger of simalr size only two things let them down in my opionion
manual legs , i had 1 and converted it to hydraulic legs by fitting legs of a scrap drot
and they were only 180 deg slew not 360
i belive that the same digigger was fitted to the alldig , which is raved about but on the alldig they had hydraulic legs
my 1st machine was one of these no electrics 2 go wrong briliant machine

me & my dad operated one of these & 2 tusker dumpers like to see what youngsters would make of these man machines

I seem to recall they were available as an extra to the dumper and adverrtised as interchagable with the standard skip in about 10 munutes.
