Cat scrap shear S385B

Post #1 by SRB » Mon Jul 21, 2008 1:38 pm

As this topic looks a little on the light side, thought i'd stick a couple of pics in of a Cat S385B scrap shear that has turned up in the yard.

Weighing in at 8600Kgs, jaw opening of 880mm and a depth of 900mm and a cutting force of 12,650KN. . . . . .

Suited to a 345/365 or a 385 size carrier.

That's a mighty big Shear, heavier than an old D6 tractor !
Wonder what it's going to be used for....
Great pictures, Stuart.

Sweet pictures. Did you get any pictures of that D6 LGP at the side of it?
