Hi thibault, any idea why it was blown up rather than munched with the long reach , as looks reasonably low (not a tower block). ?

hi Dave

the building was built in the 60s, its structure is composed of big structural steel (IPN) and concrete panels.
it would be difficult to break it down with a long reach excavator.

In Dijon, it's the 4 th demolished building with this type of structure, there is 2 others in this neighborhood,
The next demolition of a building of this type is expected in 2013
