Volvo demo excavator

Post #1 by Mike d550 » Wed Jan 06, 2010 2:40 pm

Found this machine munching away less than 200m from where i work! I decided to "borrow" the works digi camera and had a sneak round!

Was impressed at how quite this volvo was and want a play in one!

Cheers Guys,
The building in question is the old police station next to the library in the centre of M/Boro, i currently work in the Civic Centre close by.

The building in the backgroud is "the one" building which is situated opposite the old town hall!

Thanks  , its nearly 15 years sine i lived there so a bit rusty now.

Did wonder if it was the cop shop opposite the Uni's Clarendon & Stevenson buildings (old tech college & technical block). The low building looked like to one onto the Gardens opposite the Shopping centre, but i thought that was the courts ?. The tall blocks not the Tyne Tees one is it, thats off to the right at bottom of the shopping centre. Is/was lloyds bank in the low red block then ?

Here's todays installment!

The low level building next to the police station is indeed the law courts, i'm not sure what the names of the other building are.

I am waiting to try my new digital SLR camera in anger, watch this space!

Great photos Mikes

That volvo looks like the one that was on the Volvo stand at SED last year with the boom stood up as a flag pole.

yes a blue sky like thats rare and you have been able to get shots without looking straight into the sun.

Dave

Reminds me i had some of the Egg box (town hall extension in Sheffield) being knocked down a few years ago but canot remember if they were on digi or film
