If you go to the Winget Ltd website ,parts and service, operators manuals,

http://www.winget.co.uk/UserGuide.aspx

There are PDFs of operators and service manuals going back to 1960s for all their range (including tractors!) and manuals for Villiers engines, Lister Petters , Hamworthy axles , Newage Transmissions etc.etc, as many old dumpers shared common parts these may be useful

This is a handy little site too:

http://www.diggers-dumpers-plant.co.uk/

If you click around you'll find the full engine data sheets and manuals for the Petter PH1 engine (as pdf file) .

I've an idea that you've got mixed up with your engines. PH is a Petter model to the best of my knowledge I think the 1000 is probably a 1 as in one (single) cylinder.

OK, it's not an area that I have too much knowledge in.

If you goto this site:

http://www.oldengine.org/members/diesel ... chdata.htm

You'll find all the engine data for dating Lister Diesels, and there's a page for the later Lister Petter range.

http://www.oldengine.org/members/diesel ... Years1.htm

The above page seems to list every Petter, Lister and Petter Lister obsolete models ever made. I wonder if it helps you decide what you've got there?

Regards Julian.

Excelent selection of stuff pity no pictures next to item for initial identification of product, could spend days looking through that lot trying to work stuff out.

The last one is a history of the firm produced for 50 year aniversary some years ago.

heres the linjk http://www.winget.co.uk/document/WINGET%20PRELUDE%20TO%20THE%20NEXT%20FIFTY%20YEARS.pdf

I'd seen it before some were but interesting read. Does any body knoe of any similar for other firms ? - I have a JCB one also for 50 years.

the reason it has lister on the plate is because lister/petter amalgamated in 1984 and ph1 is from the petter brand i spent my first 3 years as an apprentice at seddons plant & engineers overhauling lister /petter engines happy days
