Hi, when I try to start my Wacker, it kicks back severely trying to remove my fingers. Is there some timing adjustment I can make to fix this?
Thanks in advance

Hi Pete,
Does it actually start? if it does, does it tick over or start to ram straight away?
Just from memory it sounds like you possibly may have a drive clutch problem

Hi Richard,
Yes it start and works normally, it doesn't ram straight away.
Its just when you pull to first start it the pull cord is ripped out of your hand like it is firing backwards, I don't know if the timing can be adjusted. somebody said I could widen the spark plug gap which might help?
Thanks

Hi Pete,
Its a few years since I worked on these but I remember having lots of problems with Carbs and clutches amongst other things.
Have a look at the link ( this will load a PDF ) below to see if you can gain any info from it....Its not quite the same model but they will be very similar which might help.
