Re: Twin D8
Hi, Rustypete. Hate to hafta tellya this but a a couple of bits of your post are incorrect. The twin-power TC12 was the FIRST crawler tractor that Euclid built, NOT the second. It was always a twin-engined crawler with ONE engine driving EACH track and had the FULL power of THAT engine available to ...

Re: O&K G350 question
Hi, Alan627B. I hope things are going well for you and all those around Omaha these days. Thanks for the extra photos. Due to 'computer problems', I have been unable to access this site and several others for some months now. This was rectified a couple of days ago when the guy who owns the modem th...

Re: Royal Canadian Engineers Bulldozer ID needed
Hi, Folks. The tractor is most likely a Cat D7 7M series. This was the first D7 to have the rounded bonnet as shown instead of the square bonnet seen on the D8's of the time that lasted through to the D8 13A series in the early 1950's. While the blade lift gear does have some resemblance to LaPlante...

Re: Allis-Chalmers bulldozer HD 21
Hi, Roel.
Again, thanks for sharing. I have always had a soft spot for the HD21's but have so far not had the chance to operate one. I did get to operate a stck-shift HD16 cable dozer for a while and liked that but it was NOT an HD21.

Re: Fiat dozer .
Hi, Roel.
That is a neat looking little dozer. Thanks for sharing. I didn't know that Fiat made the AD series dozers that small. I operated an AD12 and a BD14 at different times but none of the smaller ones.

Re: Hendre Bulldozers .
Hi, Roel. Thanks for sharing. Hendre is a name that I had not heard of before. I have to say though, that the crawler in the top photo does not look like any Ford County that I ever saw here in Australia. Having said that, I also suspect that Ford County crawlers were made in England for quite a whi...

Re: Small dozer?
Hi, D8666. There are the East Wind dozers that get down around that size but I wouldn't wish one of them on my enemies - - - if I had any. Enemies, that is. I for sure don't have any East Winds. You could try looking for an old British Bristol 25 but I suspect that they may be nearly as common as ho...

Re: 1970s Td25c
Hi, JeremyNzl. Man, you sure did have a score with all those parts from across the Pacific puddle. some of that stuff is almost like gold, even over there. The last company for whom I worked used to get pretty good results by welding grouser bar stock on the cutting edges of their 4-in-1 track loade...

Re: 1970s Td25c
Hi, JeremyNzi. Nice photos. Thanks for sharing. Those TD25C's were a good dozer and a lot of them did a lot of work in some fairly rough going. Did you know what its issues were before you bought it or was that a process of 'uncovery'? Hi, Nick Lamb. Dunno about where you hail from but those don't l...

Re: ACCO bulldozer moves again
Hi, TCTractors. What these people have told me is that each pin and bush takes less load as it gets further away from its first contact with the sprocket tooth and more pins and bushes come on to the sprocket. By the time it gets to the top (travelling forward) all the load that it has is the weight...
