Re: Masey Ferguson 244/200 crawler / back hoe

Is the engine a P3...or a 3-152?
Don't see many 244 here.

Re: Interesting Specs Page & Cat 931 Query

The early 78U Loader & 79U D3 had the 3F/1R transmission. The 931 & D3 were popular here in the 70s/80s & still command 20+ Grand . I own a Mitsubishi BS3F Crawler-Loader with DPS.Great when pushing stumps or doing finicky work. They were well made & the J series were the last in a lo...

Re: Furukawa Loaders in UK/Europe?

HI Dave, A decent sized wheel loader is a very handy weapon on many types of jobsite, providing you can protect the tyres. That combination of speed & digging power is fantastic. Once you've owned one,it's hard to let it go.. Marubeni was active in Australia up until the late 90s...selling Hitach...

Re: Furukawa Loaders in UK/Europe?

Yes,Hitachi runs it all now.
Furukawa,Kawasaki &TCM all made good gear.
If you ever want to experience heart-failure...just get Hitachi to quote on spare parts!

Re: Furukawa Loaders in UK/Europe?

Re: Furukawa Loaders in UK/Europe?

Thanks Dave,
Here's a pic of an FL90 with a backhoe attached.
The FL70s,90s,120s & 230s were popular here in the 70s-90s.
Like most Japanese gear, they were well made.

Do you guys know of a few wrecking yards in the UK.
I know of Hitchens, but a few more would help.

Thanks.

Furukawa Loaders in UK/Europe?

Hi All, I just wondered if Furukawa Loaders (& other Japanese loaders) were sold in the UK & Europe? They were popular here in Australia, but I'm unsure if they had a presence over there. I always assumed that Cat,Volvo,Benati,JCB,etc were the big sellers there. At Work 2014 (4).jpg I current...
