Re: Cat 6020B
Think the guy who designed that only had a 30/60 set square in his pencil case, I do not like the look of that!!!!! The glass to the side of the cab looks like an awful after thought!!!!!!!!!!
I hope that is not the future design of large cat mining excavators!!!!!!!!!!

I have a couple of photos I took of it taking down the Dunston rocket last year which I will get round adding one day!!!...

Re: ATH in administration
It seems the whole opencast mining sector is a mess with costs of fuel rocketing, coal prices plummeting and cheap imported coal coming in by the ship load  certainly not good times!!!!!! I keep hearing mutterings about UK coal being 100's millions of pounds in debt, could the same situat...

Re: ATH in administration
That is bad news indeed :( , especially for all the workforce who are now facing an uncertain future in this economic climate! I agreed with Argie, I just hope the administrators keep the sites open for as long as possible and hope for a buyer. Was there any particular reason for the company's demis...

Re: Komatsu 475
Have not seen any 475's in the UK Ian, the biggest K dozer I've seen is a 375 operated by Blackwells, it was push loading Cat 631G's in the North East!
(EDIT):- Am I correct in thinking there was a 475 in the UK that went to Greece (Cyprus) to work?
