Re: B250 Left wheel locking up in reverse

Sorry I don't know where you could download a service manual from.
I guess you will have to get the spanners out and strip her down, when you get in there you will see what a simple system it is.
Let us know what you find in there.
Peter.

Re: B250 Left wheel locking up in reverse

Hi Phil, yes they are dry and the left side is the easier one to strip, the right side has the diff lock passing through it.
Hope that helps.

Re: B250 Left wheel locking up in reverse

Essexpete is correct, the brakes on the B250 are as he describes them and they are easy to check. Disconnect the brake linkage and remove the brake housing, four or five bolts and you will find the two brake discs on a splined shaft with the expander between them. The two halves of the expander are ...

Re: international equipment

Fred I think that the dates for the production run of the 2275 are more likely to be those that essexpete has suggested, I started at Saville Tractors in 1962 and they were sold for a good few years after, there was also a 2276. If my memory is correct the main difference between the two machines wa...

Re: I think I upset some guy

How does this guy think the clutch should be adjusted then?
It was only on a new clutch that the adjuster ring could be pushed round, most times it was adjusted exactly as you describe.

Re: BTD20 at work

Hi Fred and T C The early BTD20s {200series} were as Fred said 124 HP, the later (201series) were the 135HP machines.if my memory is correct the only visible diference between them was the air filters, oil bath on the earlier machines and dry on the later ones. At Savilles so many guys ended up with...

Re: Denis's TD24 Drott

Re: Denis's TD24 Drott

Hi Martyn, Thanks for that picture, with the exception of the track frames and the number of bottem rollers
the two machines look remarkedly similar. It would be interesting to see any more photos of both machines
for comparison.

Re: Denis's TD24 Drott

Like Fred I have never heard of a TD 24 Drott.
To me it looks like a BTD 20 with one of the petrol start engines fitted (from a TD 18)?
It would be interesting to see any more photos if they are available.

Re: International 3400 Backhoe

Hi Staffbro, I'm rather supprised that there are any 3400 or3500s still around as they wern't the most long lived machines. I was working for Saville's when they were intrduced and thought that they looked a good machine. Anyway Savilles started selling them and at first the customers and operators ...
