Tell her you've read they are trying an experimental procedure where they drill and tap the joint for grease nipples but you don't trust it. You think it's better to hold out til they come up with sealed and lubed pins... 8-)

As i recall, late 80's/early 90s vintage. A pretty good old piece of kit, the firm i was with replaced them with jcb 800 series diggers which were'nt so good. As you point out spares are probably going to be a nightmare. Everything was IH specific with the exception being that i seem to remember Deu...

I seem to remember using an 1 1/8th inch socket. In metric around 30mm ?

MF 40/50 b was always a bit more like a tractor than any thing else on the market, lot of hoses on the outside and easily damaged. Not a bad tool for the jobbing builder, lighter than a 3c and less chance of getting stuck. The later 4wd MF50 would push as well as a Drott, and load wagons quickly.

That was my suggestion but the decals on the machine all appear the right way. As joe suggested on looking at the clip again, it still looks different somehow.
