Re: Dumper engine Help

How about oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter (if one fitted) and some injector cleaner or ATF in fuel tank and see how it runs before anything major?

Re: Jcb 3cx 4 3rd gear issue.

We had a Powertrain with the same trans as Dogsbollox and worked it as a loader picking up straw during several summers. Hard work on a transmission and often worked in 3rd but the issue would be overheating the shuttle /converter not the gearbox. Overheat the old borg w and there is soon damage.

Get your hi-vis on.

Lot of handballing of the old AEC (not sure if that has other connotations today).

I am tempted to replace our elderly Sanderson with a Merlo when the ghost gives.

Re: JCB 3C III - Bucket Ram Seal Kit?

Well you could try your nearest JCB dealer/agent, they are not always the most expensive option. Depends to a degree how helpful the person in the stores.

Re: Massey Ferguson 6180 electrical

I would agree with the last post from experience and what I have seen on the Farming forum. Poor connectors are a problem and a weak join can cause high resistance and heat before total failure. Do you look at the Brit Farming forum as no doubt someone will have an idea of where to look?
