Re: Unusual Cat 785
Had the text translate by a Russian speaking relation : according to him it is a group of gas cylinders , the engine runs on (natural) gas or LPG . Perhaps the engine is a Cat Industrial gasengine , the article does not describe the engine , others that it is not a diesel engine . He also states the...

Re: Fiat 50 c crawler info
Hi Marco 773 , I remember I met a Fiat 50C in France some 12 years ago and made a picture . Later , when I observed the pic better I found an electric startermotor just under the pony (or do you say donkey?) . I put an arrow on the photo . Is this an electric starter ? And if so , does it start the ...

Re: D6b 62a375 561 pipe layer
Hello Nick , here are some more pics of that 561 . There is even one with a blade . I have seen many side booms , but this is the only one with a blade . When I look at the blade well , I think it is only for loose material , such as backfilling the trench .

Hello Nick , here is a pic of a 561 side boom dash (partially visible) .
Many of these machines have crossed our country in the early sixties . I have many more pics of 561 and 561B , if you are interested I can send them .

Re: Good ole days
Hello , I made these pics of the TS 24 in 1964 in the area you mentioned . There were no other TS24 so I think these were of SP .
I "met"a Euclid C-6 in 1961 at Crystal Palace in London in 1961 on a show . SP had just bought this machine .

Re: Caterpillar DW21
Hello Gerard Dewier , I have known this m.Wikes , a UK contractor who worked in Belgium . It was a father-son team . They had DW21's. In 1965 I worked for a Dutch contractor in Gosselies , preparing the Cat area . I pushloaded their DW21's with a D8H . I don't remember these scrapers were equipped w...
