Hi,
I have just been reading through your posts. I know it's a bit late now but I have to ask the question.
Did you have the roller tool or some other method of expanding the injector sleeves into their bores when you fitted them

Re: George Fowell OR Fowler Dumpers
Hi Vince,
Dumper's looking good.
There should be a spacer between the spill timing screw in the rocker and the plunger in the pump.

Re: Anything Whitlock ( Diggers, dump trucks, cranes et al )
Hi, The first Whitlock diggers were manufactured under a licence from their designer Robert Ewan of Fife, Scotland circa 1951 and appeared in the Public Works Exhibition and The Smithfield Agricultural Show in 1952. I know when, (as a boy), I lived at Stonehouse, Glos. in 1953 a local contractor ran...

Hi and welcome to the site  I am guessing that the clutch is either mechanically activated by a rod? If so there should be some adjustment on it? If not then it must be hydraulically activated? If so there may be no adjustment possible which may mean replacing the clutch unless you have a mas...

Re: winget 4s dumper
I'm going to swap the pump on sat ( hopefully the same type) and see what happens. I haven't spilled as much beer as I have diesel timing this engine. Norm. Hi, If the spare pump is calibrated for a different engine you could still use the tappet and spring in your existing pump if you need to, it ...

Re: winget 4s dumper
Hi all. I forgot to mention that while it was running yesterday I lifted the priming levers a tad and I could really feel the resistance (cammy) knocking against it,( the lever) but the lever on the non firing cylinder was practically horizontal before any resistance and very weak cammy wise. Hope ...

Hi, Pitty you took the end plate off. You could have drawn the filter out from the top after removing the inlet connection and spring. There does seem to be something missing in your pic. There should be 8 items including the inlet connection. Perhaps the pic. below will help you sort it. http://www...

Re: winget 4s dumper
Hi Norm, Sorry I haven't been on here to answer some of your questions. As far as rattles from the top end are concerned I cant see two or three thou. valve clearance making much difference. Are the rockers getting oil :?: :?: There is a restrictor fitted in the rocker oil feed to control th...

Re: My Thwaites(?) 3Ton!
Hello again Matt, I should have said that some of the PJ engines were fitted with full flow filters in an external canister as an option, so you may have been supplied with a filter element in error. My dumper didn't have one and if as you say you can't see an external filter canister, (which would ...
