Re: How do I replace main lift shaft on Cat 17K grader?

Hi, Innes. Thank you for your kind comments about my posts. Glad you learned something. Hopefully, others did too. I just cain't see any sense in gathering knowledge and experience for 50+ years and then taking it all to the grave. 'Sides, I don't consider that I 'own' the knowledge. I'm just a tem...

Re: How do I replace main lift shaft on Cat 17K grader?

Hi, Innes. The Cat 12E 17K series was the DowNunder-built equivalent of the 70D-71D series, manufactured by Cat Australia, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Re: CAT D??

Ah ... I dont know lads ... Thought it might have been a 9? I was going on the state of it, the 8L and 9N are basically the same, no? I only ever ran one 8L and it was a really lively dozer and I liked it, none of the 9N's that I ran ever had the same snap to them. I suppose that particular 8L coul...

Re: Manitou MB25C Accumulator

Thanks for info that would certainly make sense. I think there's abit of "Health and Safety liabilty paranoia" going on at local hydraulic shop's suppliers as they are very reluctant to charge a replacement with "lots" of pressure, insisting on knowing design pressure for specif...

Re: Oh dear

I can hear it now  ............its not my fault...if the truck driver did n't drive so fast then stone would n't have rolled off, and if the grader driver was paying attention and done his job properly, then I would n't have hit that rock and my hot coffee would n't have spilt into my lap whil...
