Re: Removing & Replacing Tracks on Drott B100

Jeremy, Thanks for the information, I'll give these people a ring and see what they can supply. I'm on the outskirts of Edinburgh, funny enough not to many tool suppliers left in Edinburgh. Luckily I have an old friend who still has a lot of early 1950's tools ex RAF and Royal engineers etc. Thanks ...

Re: Removing & Replacing Tracks on Drott B100

Fred, Thanks for the information. I guess your from the old school, much like myself, I have a ring type flogging spanner connected to a 6ft+ scaffolding pole a 5 ton soft sling anchored to a tree( Big Tree) with a 2 ton chain block connected to the scaffolding pole keeping the tension, just enough....

Re: Removing & Replacing Tracks on Drott B100

I have all the other 5 Bolts loos but the last remaining bolt won't budge. I've heated all round it left it to cool before attempting to break it free with a flogging spanner. Even heated and rapid cooled the area again no movement. I'll give it one last go then I guess I'll have to cut it and re-dr...

Removing & Replacing Tracks on Drott B100

At last I've started to remove and replace the second side tracks on my International Drott B100. I was pleasantly surprised when I went to start her she run up first time with a bit of smoke to start with but clear really quickly considering the amount of time she has been sitting, Now I'm back int...

Re: Changing existing O&K RH6 LC excavator engine

Having managed to obtain a new engine for my O&K RH6 LC. I find that I'm in need of some good running gear parts for the tracks. Does anyone know if there is suitable O&K parts suppliers or breakers in UK. One more question, I have a rough idea when the my machine was manufactured. I would h...

Re: Changing existing O&K RH6 LC excavator engine

Hi Tony, This is the position relating to the center line of the crankshaft / flywheel to the centre of the driveshaft in this case. Depending on the position of the engine mountings and sump clearance it can have an adverse effect on the overall centre line off the drive shaft. However I was on the...

Re: Changing existing O&K RH6 LC excavator engine

Gentlemen, Thanks you for your speedy reply and very useful information. I will make more checks on sizes relating to the overall engine compartment and engine mounting positions. I think I've found an area were it might be a problem and not be possible the any other engine, this being the centre ax...

Re: Changing existing O&K RH6 LC excavator engine

Hi Jeremy, Having looked over the RH6 LC operations and parts manuals recently posted in CMN, I find that there are several engines are fitted, including F4L912, F5L912 and F6L912. Most of the later models are fitted with F6L912 engines, therefore one would think it possible to fit F5L912. One odd t...

Changing existing O&K RH6 LC excavator engine

I recently purchased a rather old O&K RH6 LC excavator as a restoration project. Serial Number 80364. It has a Deutz F4L912 fitted to it at the moment which is a bit tired. I would like to know if it is possible to install a F5L912, can anyone advise me on this?
