Re: MF 50B; production period?

No the loader controls are all on the left on the older MF machines, when i sold my 3C mk2 and got my current MF40 it took a few weeks to get used to the levers being on the left. I found it hard going from MF four lever to JCB 2 on the back hoe then even harder on the first mini excavator I had a ...

Re: MF 50B; production period?

So what was the difference between a 50 and a 3303? I have a feeling the 50B to D crossover would have been close in time to the 3C to 3CX change.

Re: Ford/Whitlock backhoe on YouTube

It is odd and it has been commented on before that Whitlock had so many models and quite different in layout. Some of their features were potentially very good/up to date.

Re: MF 50B; production period?

I am not sure that a 50C was sold in the UK? I think the D was the next model on from the B and the 3303/5 was the predecessor.

Re: Ram Prop?

If you use deep enough channel or weld on a couple of tabs that would protrude beyond/below the rod you could drill a couple of holes to allow a pin or bolt to secure the prop in place. That is how a factory one was made for our old Sanderson.

Re: Ram Prop?

You could make one (or two) out of suitable channel to drop over the rod to sit against the cylinder cap and pin the other end. Make sure the ends are nicely de burred to avoid scoring the ram. You could drop a cloth over the rod first.
