The 10/42 is the 3cyl Nuffield and right for a JCB2 so is 4cyl a typo ?

Those Dennis SS fire engines with V8 Perkins really flew and here is one flying on Jeremys patch ( along with a fire service ERF skip lorry on blues which I have never seen before)-
