The photo that Victor put up is of the 1980 3C, it was only in production for a year or so and was slightly cheaper than the "X" version that had the self levelling front loading arms ... and looking at the hub it is 4 wheel drive

I think we were all young once Pete :thumbup:

I quite liked the four lever operation, and the "instant reverse" was a delight to use, more so if you was so used to the manual JCB gearbox, it was also more reliable than the JCB Torque converter.

I can always remember going off down to the south coast many years ago, and the guy i was working for presented me with this MF50 :o :dizzy: yuk i thought, but after a couple of days on the machine i got to like it.

The 3303 denotes the tractor ID, in this instance the engine was the Perkins AD4/203 with manual gearbox, the 3305 was the instant reverse gearbox, the backhoe was known as the 252 and the loader was the 250, to simplify things Massey re badged the machine as the MF50, when i do not know, but the ma...
