Re: 1988 JCB 3CX 4WD Grey Cab - Owners Handbook

That's the one soulmnan , took me a wee while to find it the first time .
It has a fair amount of info in it .

I see a few manuals in ebay from time to time , but the price always seems to be a bit steep and the quality not great .

Re: Newly acquired 3CX Grey Cab

Alright Greg , I bought a filter kit from digger parts and most of the oils from the local farmers tractor place . Just work through it all checking or changing . My rear rack was bone dry , trans filter was about 100 years old and had to be destroyed completely to get it off . Trans hubs dry and le...

Re: 1988 JCB 3CX 4WD Grey Cab - Boom Ram Leaking

I've only ever done the steering ram so far , it will be hard graft on the big ram !. I'd be looking for a shop that'll just change the seals only , leaving the painting and such like to yourself . Can you see what condition the rod is in or is it hidden ?. Similarly bushes and pins . I'd have the c...

Re: 1988 JCB 3CX 4WD Grey Cab - Owners Handbook

I have a grey cab myself .
The workshop manual you can download from CMN , which I am assuming you know ?
The owners manual would be handy , but a lot of stuff is covered in the manual anyway .

Re: Hedge cutter on a 3c2?

I don't see why this isn't possible , it could be a very handy tool . There shouldn't be any need for another pump , but it's matching the engine/pump speed to the forward motion . If you have a nice flat bit of road or field beside the hedge you are laughing ....otherwise it would be a total nightm...

Winget Dumper to Log Splitter

I have posted this in the projects thread as well . OK , I know a lot of the dumper fans might think this is a waste of a good dumper , but the one I had was really in pretty poor nick . I gave up on it and have made the log splitter pictured. I have retained the back half of the dumper with the axl...

Winget dumper log Splitter

Might be of interest to someone wanting to build a log splitter . Ok , a few purists might find this disturbing ....however I was given what I think was a Winget dumper that had been on a few farms and eventually been left on a hillside for a few years . The clutch was away , one of the axles was in...
